We are always thinking about ways to make it easier to access our services for members who are English Language Learners and those who have other accessibility issues.

Today, we are excited to announce a new website translation feature! The content on our website can now be translated into five languages: Amharic, Filipino, Russian, Spanish, Vietnamese. We chose these languages because they are the most common languages (besides English) that our members speak. Just look in the top right corner of any page on our website and you’ll see the dropdown menu to choose a language.

Looking ahead, we are working closely with our partners to determine the language needs of our members and considering adding other languages. We are also looking at options that allow our members to utilize language translation services on phone and video calls with our education navigators.

Another update that is coming soon is a simplified version of the Training Fund application for English Language Learners and people with disabilities. This will help members who have challenges filling out our current membership application.

For any members who need help filling out online forms, uploading documents, or accessing videoconferencing for workshops or events, we created a Help with Online Tools page full of tips, resources, and answers to frequently asked questions. We also offer Basic Computer and English Language Learner classes and tutoring (more information near the bottom of our Academic Support & Workshops page). As more and more information and interactions move online, we are committed to helping our members achieve digital equity.
