The Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC) is hosting a virtual event to help parents and caregivers learn about financial aid. The event is one of many being hosted by WSAC to help prospective students apply for financial aid as a part of the 12th Year Campaign.

Listen to experts about all of your financial aid opportunities and get help applying for financial aid online. The event will be on Zoom at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 29.

This program is one of the top graduate nursing programs in the country. The Master of Nursing program prepares RNs for advanced nursing roles in a variety of settings such as …

  • Nursing leadership.
  • Nursing education.
  • Public Health

Many graduates obtain jobs as nurse leaders, school of nursing faculty, clinical education specialists, managers, administrators, directors, change agents, and care providers promoting and implementing programs designed to improve patient outcomes. Accepted students have options to specialize in nursing education, administrative leadership, population health or a general specialization.

This is a hybrid program with in-person and online classes. Classes meet every other Friday, five times a quarter.

Training Fund Members can apply for Tuition Assistance. UW Bothell has a variety of funding options such as the Nurse Faculty Loan program, which cancels 85 percent of a loan over four years post-graduation. There are also scholarships available!

The Training Fund provides Professional and Technical workers up to $1,500 per year (as reimbursements) to attend local and national conferences.* Professional and Technical workers also have professional development money available to them.

Use your benefits this year!

Many members use both of their benefits to attend conferences and lower their personal cost. Here’s how it works…

  • Pro/Tech Conference funding can cover the cost of travel (hotel, transportation expenses, etc.) and registration fees.
  • Pro/Tech Professional Development benefits can cover the cost of attending a conference, like registration fees.
  • Both benefits require members to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

The deadline to apply for a ProTech Conference Award is Wednesday, September 1.** Apply today!

*Applications must be submitted before the conference.

**For conferences between September 1, 2021 and March 31, 2022.

Personal Statement Workshop

The Personal Statement Workshop helps members write effective personal statements so they can improve their chances of getting accepted into programs. The workshop introduces the process of writing an excellent personal statement while being supported by a Training Fund Personal Statement Tutor.

Our Resume Workshop helps members create and polish their resumes so that they can improve their chances of standing out when applying for jobs as they work towards advancing their professional careers.

  • Connections to resources including the Training Fund’s Employment Services.

Our Statistics Prep Workshop is a 3.5 hour intense primer to help you get ready for your statistics class! Learn an overview of statistics concepts you’ll need to master, strategies for successful completion of the class, and how stats matters in your healthcare career.

TEAS test workshop

Prepare for the TEAS test with the Training Fund! If you are planning to apply for nursing school in the next six to nine months and the programs require a pre-nursing entrance exam (like TEAS, PAX, or Kaplan Pre-Nursing), be sure to attend this workshop. Attendees have raised their TEAS scores by more than 20 points! The workshop is FREE for training fund members. We’ll the mail you prep resources for your pre-nursing exam, which includes online and paper practice tests.
