Reimbursement $300/year Activities
CEUs/Courses
Includes conferences and courses that carry CEU credits and required books or materials for CEU courses
Specialty Certifications
National Certifications exams or courses/review materials that prepare members for those exams.
RN Specialty Certifications
Specialty nurse certification exam and re-certification fees. Registered Nurses are able to seek reimbursement on certifications by national organizations approved by their employer in associations with the certification pay policy/contract language.
Professional Memberships
Membership in professional organizations that provide access to CEUs as a benefit of membership
State and Federal licenses required for employment
Your $300/year Professional Development reimbursement benefit also covers State and Federal licenses required for employment. Members can seek reimbursement for any activity/payment from September 01, 2024 onward. This also includes annual WA Department of Health License Renewals. You will need to submit documents that show valid proof of payment (i.e., Name, Date of payment & Paid activity appears on the receipt) and a copy of your license info that was paid when making this request (a screenshot of the DOH website after renewal is acceptable proof).
Free Unlimited CEU Courses through HealthStream
Members can complete job-related CEUs through HealthStream CE Unlimited. You can complete as many Continuing Education (CE) courses as you like — all for free, through the Training Fund!
These courses are designed for a wide variety of healthcare support professionals, including LPNs, MAs, NA-Cs, RNs and more.
Nursing Certification Review
Members can also complete online test reviews for the most popular nursing certification exams, including CCRN, CEN, CMSRN, RN – BSN, and PCCN.

- Compliance training, licensure tracking, upkeep training, and much more.

Free Leadership Courses through HealthStream TalentTracks
The Training Fund also offers an easy way for members to take leadership and related courses through HealthStream TalentTracks. Courses and curriculum are aligned to critical leadership competencies in the healthcare setting.
You may complete as many courses as you like — all for free through the Training Fund!

BLS/CPR/ACLS/PALS Certification through LifeTek
You can use your Professional Development reimbursement funds ($300/year) to cover the cost of a certification course through LifeTek! Certification courses include:

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
ACLS with BLS Combo Courses
Training Fund members will be offered a 15% discount off the cost of the open enrollment cost of selected course as a thank you for using LifeTek. Use the code SEIU15 for a 15% discount.

CANCELLATION: Notification of a LifeTek cancellation must be made at least 72 business hours prior to a class start date and time. Depending on the course, a fee will be charged for cancellations made in less than 72 business hours. You will be personally responsible for the cancellation fee, not the Training Fund. Notification must be called in to 855-448-3277.
Pro/Tech Conference Travel Funding
Conference Travel Funding
Apply to receive funds to attend national or regional conference relevant to your field. If you are approved, this program can cover costs for conference registration, travel, and hotel. Applications are accepted year-round with funding awards announced quarterly.
You can apply for reimbursement up to $1,500 once per year to attend local and national professional conferences.
Pre-approval is required.
Additional RN Funding
The Training Fund is pleased to offer our RN members additional Tuition Assistance and Professional Development funding for a limited period. Funding is available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
RN members have access to an additional $200/year in Professional Development support. You can now request up to $500/year for Professional Development reimbursement.
You an also apply for an additional scholarship to go back to school if you have maximized your Tuition Assistance.
