Every year, the Training Fund’s prominent Tuition Assistance program receives many applications from members. In 2021, every member who applied received the good news that they would receive Tuition Assistance!
Over 300 members will receive funding to begin school programs in 2022, in addition to many others already receiving tuition assistance.
“Education is a crucial tool for our members to advance their careers and we’re thrilled to offer this life-changing program.”
– Training Fund Executive Director, Laura Hopkins
Juggling a full-time job and family responsibilities can make it challenging to return to school. This is why Tuition Assistance can be a valuable resource for our members. Tuition Assistance helps pay for school-related costs like tuition, books, and other fees for approved programs.
Members can also access a variety of educational support services to help them succeed, such as tutoring and career counseling.
If you are interested in applying for Tuition Assistance for the upcoming school year, fill out a Training Fund application. Learn more by signing up for one of our Training Fund Tuesday events!
Like the rest of the world, when the pandemic hit the Training Fund had to adapt quickly and efficiently.
In the past two years the Training Fund has developed all virtual services, has worked to create more accessible education opportunities for our members, has helped develop leading virtual technology through the Virtual Health Institue, garnered grant funding to increase our services, and more.
What we are truly impressed with is the resilency of our members, and your willingness to continuing serving the community. Our leadership projected a decline in member applications for tuition assistance, professional development, and CEU funding. Instead you, our members, have increased your use of the Training Fund. Members are looking to better educate themselves and serve our communities while we still navigate the COVID-19 pandemic.
We want to say thank you. We are proud to be your Training Fund.
Most of our staff are still working virtually and remotely. The Training Fund has implemented new COVID-19 policies regarding limited in-person appointments and guest visits to help keep our staff and members healthy and virus-free.
Learn all about our COVID-19 policies and our partners’ policies at our new COVID-19 Policy page.

Members in the Professional/Technical bargaining unit may also apply for conference travel funding (you must be approved prior to travel, then submit for reimbursement).
Once you have worked for your employer for one year, you may also qualify for Tuition Assistance, which covers tuition, fees, and book costs for a wide variety of healthcare education programs at colleges and universities across the region. (Even if you haven’t worked for Kadlec for a year yet, contact us to talk about academic support and resources, career planning, and how we can help you reach your goals.)
Applications are accepted year-round and typically we award Tuition Assistance after October 15. However, since you just joined us, we have a different deadline for Kadlec members to apply for Tuition Assistance: between January 1-February 14 (to pay for school as early as Spring Quarter). We encourage members to contact us early to work with a Training Fund Navigator on your education plan.
If you are planning to go to school in 2022, please apply for Tuition Assistance between January 1 and February 14. Learn more about Tuition Assistance.
If you are currently in school and have already been receiving Tuition Reimbursement from your previous Education Fund, you may be able to add Tuition Assistance from the Training Fund. Please contact us to discuss this.
